Blind Intelligence

The creative industry has weathered many technological disruptions, with many casualties along the way. AI is the latest, necessitating significant shifts in processes and skills, like the introduction of prompt engineering.

For now, the human creative retains a cognitive advantage, but this is a moving target. While AI excels at execution and has democratised technical skills, it still lacks the strategic, creative, and conceptual thinking that is driven by human cognition.

This is because, technically speaking, AI is blind. It “knows” nothing. Its intelligence is a simulation based on pattern recognition and probability: P(tokenn+1∣token1,token2,…,tokenn).

Therefore, behind every AI must be a human guardian angel, providing the visionary guidance and leadership to hold the hand of the blind in a collaborative relationship.

Humans possess unmatched cognitive advantages.
